30 below didn't stop the fun for the 6th graders at Deep Portage. We learned survival skills like fire building, did some outdoor TEAM building activities, learned about orienteering and got to go off trail, climbed the observation tower and had a great campfire outside in the evening.
Sharing breakfast together at Deep Portage. They are feeding us really well! Don't tell Kirby and Jeff, but they taught us to clean up after ourselves!
TrekNorth 6th Grade is having a great time at Deep Portage! We set our challenges for the rock wall and then smashed them!
Giants Ridge trip rescheduled for March 3rd!
TrekNorth Nordic Ski Team had a great day of racing at Camp Ripley this week. Check out the school website for a link to all the photos of the Varsity Pursuit racers! Go Sundogs!
The sub zero temps and wind chills prevented us from going outside so we had a skiers yoga session with the Varsity and JV team instead.

Good Evening TrekNorth Families!
Due to the high number of COVID cases in our county that are affecting staffing and other area schools, the TrekNorth school building will be closed from Wednesday, January 19 to Friday, January 21, 2022. There will still be online school hours during this time for students to connect with their teachers to complete work. Teachers will also be using these days to prepare for the possible transition to online learning next week.
The end of fall semester is Friday, January 21, 2022. Teachers will be available for student support via phone, email, or Zoom to complete missing work and to finalize grades for the semester on Thursday from 1-3 P.M.
TrekNorth will be emailing students and families Zoom links to connect to teachers during this time. In addition, if you have concerns about your student’s current class or grade, please reach out to the individual teacher via email.
All after school activities are cancelled this week.
Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and flexibility as we transition to this temporary school closure.
Friday, Jan 14 from 4-6 pm, almost 40 TrekNorth high school students spent time in study groups, working with teachers, and studying with peers in preparation for the end of the first semester. Thanks to everyone for putting in the extra time. Well done, Sundog Students!

With the sub zero temps last week the JH skiers couldn't get out on the trails much. Instead we had the chance to learn waxing skills with Alexis. Some skiers braved the cold for a few fast laps!
JH Student Council will meet on Thursday, 1/13 at lunch time in Jennie's room. Grab your lunch and come for a quick meeting to plan our next activity.
McDonald's Day at Game Club! Happy New Year!
