New toys are being collected by the TrekNorth Student Council on Dec 1-16, 2022 for the Northwood Battered Women's Shelter. Toys of all ages are welcome. There is a specific need for toys for teens. To donate, bring unwrapped items and place in the box by the front desk of TrekNorth. Thank you for making the holiday season more joyful for others!
This group of TrekNorth student council leaders attended the MASC/MAHS State Leadership Forum held in November at Cragun's Resort near Brainerd, Mn. They participated with nearly 600 other student leaders from across Minnesota listening to speakers, doing activities, and exchanging ideas in small groups. They further developed their leadership skills and brought back ideas to use at school.

Today, students and staff participated in Medicine Wheel Colors Day to help honor, and celebrate Native American Heritage Month! The Medicine Wheel emphasizes the interconnectedness of life and the importance of achieving balance and harmony within yourself.
To help celebrate Native American Heritage Month, Native Youth Council honored teachers and staff with a handmade beaded gift for "Bling Day". The gift represents honor and appreciation to teachers in recognition of all that they do for indigenous youth at TrekNorth.
Parent information meeting for the High School Nordic Ski Team will be this Thursday, Nov. 17 at 6:30pm at TrekNorth! Parents of new and returning skiers should plan to attend to complete required forms and get info on the new season!

The TrekNorth Sundog Bocce Team competed at the Unified State Bocce Tournament in Woodbury, MN last week and brought back some serious hardware! Congratulations on your 2nd, 3rd and 4th place efforts!

November is National Native American Heritage Month! The TrekNorth Native Youth Council organized an Indigenous Spirit Week that also coincides Rock Your Mocs week celebrated nationwide. Here are the themed days, it starts tomorrow with “Rock your Mocs!”
TrekNorth will have a 2 hour late start tomorrow, Friday, November 11. School will start at 10:30 A.M.
The TrekNorth Student Council is collecting food items, personal care items, and paper products between Nov 1-16. Students should bring items to their advisories. The advisory collecting the most items will win the right to pie staff the week of Thanksgiving. Items collected will be donated to the Bemidji Food Shelf. Thank you for your thoughtful giving!
JH Nordic Ski Club will start on Monday, December 5th. This club is for students 6-8th grade. Everyone is welcome, from total beginners or those new to skiing and wish to improve their skills and have some fun! Watch this space-more information coming soon!

It's been a busy few weeks with the arrival of a new addition for our Unified Library and supplies from SOMN, Halloween Bingo at Game Club and Trek Unified sponsored the game room at the Halloween lock-in. Thanks for the fun everyone!
The Halloween Lock-In will be held on Friday, October 28 from 6-11 pm. Students in grades 6-12 are welcome to attend. Guests from outside schools are welcome with a completed pass. Tickets are sold at lunch for $5 or at the door for $6. Music, games, movies, and concessions are available.
This event is co-sponsored by TrekNorth NHS & Student Council.
Seniors at TrekNorth submitted their applications to schools in the Minnesota State College and University system this morning as a part of our College Prep! We celebrated with donuts and strawberries.

TrekNorth seniors are starting their higher education journeys through Direct Admissions Minnesota. The new program notifies high school seniors of proactive, direct admission to participating Minnesota colleges and universities.
