Congratulations to our lone Sundog Varsity Speaker who competed at the Chuck Beckman Memorial Invitational in Walker! Xavier earned personal best percentage scores on Saturday.
The JV team gets their turn to compete in Walker on Thursday and the Varsity team travels to Fosston on Saturday. Good Luck to all of our Sundog Speakers!

These TrekNorth students had fun and did well at the Snow Snake Tournament on Lake Bemidji!
Shea Fleming won 1st Place Stationary Target, and 1st Place Distance Throw ages 8-12.
Everett Fleming won 2nd Place Rolling Hoop, and 2nd Place Distance ages 8-12.
Micah Mitchell Won 2nd place Stationary Target, and 3rd place Distance Throw ages 8-12.
Hayden Doty won 2nd place in Rolling Hoop ages 13-17.
Honorable mentions Nate Behrns and Dennis Smallwood won $5 each for excellent sportsmanship!
The next meet for the Varsity Sundog Speech Team is Tomorrow at Bemidji High School. Everyone is welcome to come out to support our speakers and learn more about our activity. Varsity Speakers should meet in the Bemidji High School Commons at 8:30 am.

Students in Ecuador are learning about farming in the Andes at 10,000 feet as well as the Amazon at 2,000 feet. We also loved some of the Carnaval celebrations!
Painting Snow Snakes in 7th grade American Indian Language and Culture class today, students are enjoying it!
We have made it to South Texas and are loving every minute! Yesterday, we explored the border. Today, we head to Brownsville to work!
There's a great group of students doing an awesome job with the challenges of international travel! We've got another day in Quito, then on to Riobamba and Banos.
The TrekNorth Junior Varsity team competed at their second meet of the season last night in Laporte. Our speakers had fun learning, growing, and meeting students from other schools. The next Junior Varsity meet will be at Cass Lake-Bena on Tuesday!
Native Youth Council will be selling Fry Bread Tacos at TrekNorth tomorrow at 11am! To-go boxes for easy lunch pick up. Made to order, and toppings include: beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, salsa, and sour cream. Hope to see you there!!

Congratulations to the Speech team who competed at Red Lake Country Central on Saturday. For many this was their first meet ever! Marla in Inform and Cecelia and Barb in Duo Interpretation all brought home Superior Ribbons.
In March of 2022, Varsity Choir along with the Bemidji State Choir and three other choirs were part of a world premiere of a composition by Dr. James Bowyer titled "Daybreak." The recording is featured on the Santa Barbara Music Publishing website. Check out the recording!
